It's hard to get out there in front of lots of people knowing you will finish near the back of the pack. (I know!) I had a similar problem with my bottom bracket....twice. They said I had been washing it with a hose and the water got into the 'sealed' unit. But I hadn't because of the water ban and they agreed to replace it free twice in six months, even though the first BB was out of warranty.
