I like the general slant of this comment.

The cool maps come from a combination of the gps wrist watch (my weapon of choice is the Garmin Forerunner 305) paired with Sporttracks, a completely free and excellent training log that doubles as a google earth application. There are stacks of google earth spinoffs that will map your routes but the key ingredient is the gps. I would definately recommend it and I think you ought to be able to demand one for your birthday given the recent kitten giving.

My blog is courtesy of wordpress.org. I host it on my own server and have manipulated a template called Fyords which I think is an attractive 3 column design. I’ve just added my own photos to the header basically. You can use wordpress in the same way as blogspot ie hosted for you but I don’t think it offers you as much flexibility. I’m no expert though as I’ve never used it.

Hey, I have an individual but totally legit question for you, and since I can’t find any email link, I guess I have to leave it as a comment:

So the question is: you always have these cool maps of where you’ve run to and all that overlayed on satellite images. I’m computer-retarded. How’d you do that? And how’d you get your cool page layout also, by the way? So how do I become cool like you?

Hi-LArious. I like the image of your friend running naked through suberbia, it has a kind of Desperate Housewives tinge to it. Please tell me she looks like Eva Longoria… What I like even more is the image of you (or what I imagine you look like) standing in a neck-deep hole in your lawn calling out to passers-by for help.

Nice move with the wine running. Did you know that Dean Kar… (whats-his-name) started the same way? He got drunk on his 30th birthday and ran 30 miles. I see a bright future for you filled with running commutes from suburban London to new jobs in Paris, Rome, Moscow…
