The Nike+ Sportband is clearly not designed for use in British weather conditions, after this mornings run in the rain the watch has died on me. It was admittedly tipping it down but it’s supposed to be a running watch and runners run in the rain, they have to.
The screen has clouded up with condensation and half the display seems to have disappeared.
It’s quite a shame really as I enjoyed the motivating aspect of the online challenges. Oh well, at least it frees up another wrist.

They are shitte! It looked good, but offered no real substance (like many a boy/girl band) I love my Garmin it may look like a brick but it keeps on going.
But it was the girliest looking watch I possessed and I was getting fond of it.
take it back - i’m sure they will swop it !

SEND IT BACK….. I know it rained a bit yesterday (believe me I live in Berkshire) but it shouldn’t have done that - what nonsense!!!!

Well I may have said it before but you really have saved me some money… I get so fed up with waiting for the Garmin to get a signal, and I’m obsessed with gadgets, so I was going to rush out and buy one of these nike things, but I’m not going to bother now. I’ll just continue leaving it outside on the windowsill ten mins before I go for run (or 30 mins if it’s cloudy and overcast)

It may dry out? I wish mine was accurate. I keep wearing it because I love the charts and widgets and challenges and stuff but it’s out by a mile so pretty pointless really. I wonder if we all got sent sub-standard ones? My first one had an unreadable screen so I asked for a replacement but it’s so inaccurate, as was joggerbloggers. They can’t be selling this crap to the public can they?
That is amazingly bad.
By definition any outdoor equipment is going to get wet.
Maybe its designed for posing in the gym

i won’t buy….that’s the end of it!
RIP Nike sportband! I can’t believe it went belly up after the rain though. What kind of athlete do they think is going to use it if it can’t stand up to some precipitation? I imagine there should be a warrany on it, you should be able to get it replaced…??

Oh dear. How does it cope with sweat? It would die after a few minutes on my moist wrists! Good old Garmin keeps going whatever the weather (unless, of course, you allow your other half to borrow I like I do and then it just dies of lack of energy!).

You got further than me WW - I couIdn’t get the software installed. I can’t believe a big corporation is trying to push this stuff out and letting free speaking bloggers plaster the web with bad reviews.
Anyone want mine?
to Highway Kind: I’m not sure it’s designed for gym, because I have bad experience with this band in summer day. my second workout was last for it, because I sweated …. and you can image it … (like picture)

No “wet” issues with mine however I left plugged into my laptop overnight charging and when I got up the next day, all the pixels were fried and it was unusable. Nike did replace it for me.
[...] bottle of vino (or two), I get an email from Nike. Apparently, if I could resurrect the long dead Nike+ Sportband, and push my sorry arse out of the door, complete with Sunday morning hangover, to complete a 10k [...]

Today I took my second sportband to the shop because of the same problem. The first one lasted only 15 days and the second one 2 months.
In the Nike Town they told me that they’re not selling this version anymore and that I’ll have to wait till February when the new model with some problems fixed and new features will be released….
