I loved my Nike Sportband until I lost the watch off the band. Now I can’t find anywhere to just buy the watch itself. I had a Garmin given to me from parents of team and I really enjoyed it, though a little bulky.
Anyone know where I can just buy a replacement watch…I still have the band…ha!

I’ve had two SportBands. First one died of sweat in a California dry season – no rain, just me. Screen turned to glitter (as if the LCD dissolved). This was replaced – but not without a challenge fro the salesman – and the new one has lasted much longer, although some of its display has also turned to spread-out glitter…

Today I took my second sportband to the shop because of the same problem. The first one lasted only 15 days and the second one 2 months.

In the Nike Town they told me that they’re not selling this version anymore and that I’ll have to wait till February when the new model with some problems fixed and new features will be released….

No “wet” issues with mine however I left plugged into my laptop overnight charging and when I got up the next day, all the pixels were fried and it was unusable. Nike did replace it for me.

to Highway Kind: I’m not sure it’s designed for gym, because I have bad experience with this band in summer day. my second workout was last for it, because I sweated …. and you can image it … (like picture)

You got further than me WW – I couIdn’t get the software installed. I can’t believe a big corporation is trying to push this stuff out and letting free speaking bloggers plaster the web with bad reviews.

Oh dear. How does it cope with sweat? It would die after a few minutes on my moist wrists! Good old Garmin keeps going whatever the weather (unless, of course, you allow your other half to borrow I like I do and then it just dies of lack of energy!).

RIP Nike sportband! I can’t believe it went belly up after the rain though. What kind of athlete do they think is going to use it if it can’t stand up to some precipitation? I imagine there should be a warrany on it, you should be able to get it replaced…??
