Two Tone Brompton

Brooks Saddle

Here’s a quick pictorial introduction to the new bike recruit.

The Brompton is squeezing alongside the other two bikes and trying to carve out a niche for itself.

So far it’s doing very well and I’m beginning to worry about what I’ll do with the other two.

I wonder if I could have a go at a sprint tri with it? It certainly needs to have a go at some sort of challenge event just to cement it’s street cred.

A marvel of British engineering.

Compact and Bijou

Here it is in transition mode – notice the sweet pea holder built into the Brompton bag – how useful is that?

Sweet Pea

Just to continue the bike porn theme, here it is in full glory.

Shed & Bike

I’ll just finish by plugging the WizzBike – the best bike shop I’ve come across so far. Superb service, it’s based in Brentford but well worth the trip if you are interested in Bromptons, folders or Pashleys.

I’d just like to say how much I hate the morons who have “tagged” your shed. It would be great if a a group of adults found out where they lived and covered their house in grafitti, assuming it is not already covered.

Love the sweet pea holder !

Yippee! Cool new wheels. Hopefully it will be useful when you scrap your commuting workouts and hop on the bus. However, if you ever try to do a triathlon on that thing, I will laugh at you. I will laugh at you, and then I will never speak to you again. It doesn’t even have a bottle cage! How would you put it on the bike rack?!

I did see one guy riding one of those things 550M on the AIDS ride, though, so they must be comfortable and they can’t be TOO slow.

Thanks Laser Runner, I have painted over the graffit and it isn’t supposed to be visible but I suppose it will take a few more coats yet.

Now Speed Racer, what are you talking about? Have you seen the length of that seat post? I could stack at least 3 bottle holders on that and as for racking it, why bother, it stands up all on its own! If I tilted the handlebars I could get in the aero position no bother.

Oh yes, I think its the perfect tri bike.
