I’ve rarely awaited the start of a month with more anticipation. June and the original -athon is upon us and that means daily running, daily blogging and an ever increasing pile of excuses as the month wears on.
It also means increased fitness and the tiny chance of a bit of weightloss and given that I have a wedding dress to fit into at the start of July, I’m mighty grateful for the promise of Juneathon.
Lynn also decided to make the month a little more challenging by enforcing a heavy restriction on the alcohol consumption. Apparently if I can make her run daily in the name of Juneathon, she can make me cut back on the Stella in the name of future marital harmony.
Could be a tense month!
I started the day well with a Brompton commute into work but you can’t really count day 1 as complete without a run, so we snuck in a last minute trog around the block before bed.
Day 1 Tally
Bike Distance: 17.25k
Run Distance: 2.25k
Runs where I beat Lynn: 1/1
Stella Pint Equivalents: 0
