A rather odd commit to finding the warrior spirit within....Getting Around the Fitness SectionMy day to day progress with the weight loss and all the new sports can be followed on the fitness blog while the more detailed informational articles will be kept here on the main site. The general training section includes articles on endurance training, heart rate monitoring - basically all the important non-sport-specific stuff that I've had to learn. The Fat to Fit section is quite a personal section really, it details my weight loss progress, includes tips and tricks and even includes my effective spreadsheet diet. As Fat to Fit isn't just about weight loss, it also includes sections on how I first started exercising way back when just walking to the corner shop caused me pain. I hope you'll find some inspiration here and feel free to drop me a line and let me know how you are progressing. Cycling has been my main sport for at least 3 years now, commuting 18 miles every day and adding longer distance, charity and audax rides. This section includes routes of my rides, useful links, book reviews and cycling specific training plans. Running is a new addition to my training smorgasbord, I had to start ultra slowly as I kept pulling my quads but now I seem to have got into the swing of things. Here you will find my tips for beginners, including recommended programs and the training articles will become more advanced as my running improves. Finally the Martial Arts section introduces the two new sports I have taken up, Kickboxing and kung Fu. I am doing both of these at the central London based KB Fitness Academy which I would highly recommend.
