Kick Boxing and Kung Fu

In October 2005 we both took up kick boxing with a martial arts club in central london. We are absolutely loving it and in my usual obsessive way I have allowed it to take over my life and have joined up to take unlimited classes. For me that means at least 4 sessions of kick boxing, Kung Fu and yoga each week. Hopefully soon, I'll be able to do even more.

The group we train with is KB Kickboxing, who are a gay friendly group, running high energy classes in the W1 region. I would really recommend them if you want a fun, accepting class atmosphere and are not afraid of sweating rather a lot!

I am really up for going through the grading process and taking part in sparring classes, so I've got all the protective gear ready. I look like a right ole bruiser. Shakti is just up for having a load of fun each week so she is content to kick me around a bit without all the additional paraphenalia. The great thing about KBKickboxing is that there is room to accomodate both of our goals. There are so many classes running each week that you can find a place for fun and fitness and if you want to get really involved in the martial arts aspect and train up to black belt there are plenty of classes to suit you too.
